ABOUT US
Bernhard Bus has been in business since 1979 serving Motor Coach
Companies and private coach owners.
After moving to the United States in 1962 the owner of this company, Bernhard Weihs,
started his career as a truck mechanic, working primarily on large diesel-powered tractor
trailer trucks. While working full time he furthered his education,including home
correspondence courses and attending community college. Coupled with his day time
"hands on training", he quickly became a diesel expert.
Due to his expert knowledge on diesel engines, and being at the right place at the right
time, Bernie became a regional Sales Rep. for Jacobs Engine Brakes. He held this
position for four years
After his stint there , he obtained a position in the experimental engineering department of
Auto Car Truck Builder, a subsidiary of White Motor Corp. Bernie remained there for 5
years, until Auto Car closed operations in Pennsylvania and moved the operation south.
His next endeavor was as a Maintenance Supervisor for a small bus Co. with a fleet of
sixteen buses .
In 1979 he started his own business and has done work for Coach Companies and
Converted Coach owners from all over the United States.
